Workshop Summary: Have you ever wondered how to do more of what you love? Do you feel nervous when the time comes to make decisions? Are you well on your way to realizing your dreams and looking to check-in with your direction? Are you a part of an organization that needs a more focused approach to reach its goals?

Holistic decision-making offers us the tools we need to make decisions that move us toward that which we truly desire.   It is a fundamental assumption of this class that given the opportunity, humans will make decisions based on self-interest, concern for the environment, for other people, and for future generations.  Originally conceived as a tool for farmers to create a more focused and profitable farm, you will walk away with a set of tools that can be tailored to any decision- be it personal, family, business, or community organization.

Plant yourself on beautiful Chebeague Island for three days. Think about how to tap your creative, emotional, maximum potential.  Through a series of written and oral exercises, group discussions, and reflection time you will create a personal definition of wealth (which doesn’t necessarily mean money), a description of your own "whole system," and a personal Holistic Goal statement.  Then you will practice making decisions through a series of specific questions that lead you to an answer reflecting your Holistic Goal.  You will leave the Island with a tool to use and refine for future personal decision making.
